Because a long time ago Sanji lost his eye fighting in the great Ninja Wars. He then replaced his eye with a special eye from his friend Obito who had the power of the Sharing... errr wrong guy... actually Sanji hides his eye because he is so powerful he needs to wear an eyepatch with an infinite power sucking stuff to make his fights interesting... errr still wrong guy >_<

he's a one eyed willy. Apparently pirates used to lose them all the time. Either that or i'm too used to the film/tv stereotype

naaah...:P well, it's true, this is the stereotip of the pirat, but, in the case of Sanji-kun it's part of the play-bloy character of our cooker  ::) the long hair over the face is so sexy!

I remembered asking myself the same question anyway i fin 3reponses
1-when Oda showed him with his background story ( when he was little  )
he had't any problem and his left eye was visible
2-In Alubarna he had a fight when i saw his left eye without any apparent problem ;D
3-I remember everytime in the moviesand in the anime when he sees a beautifull lady his eyes turn to hearts so i think  his left eye is normal

So i may have i think given an appropriate answer even if i'm a little drunk now  :P
(i even drunked rhum the alcohol of mrines and pirates... :P ^^; )

a lot of anime characters seem to walk around with their eyes shut all the time, like Brock from Pokemon for example (sorry don't know the characters Japanese name). But he doesn't miss any of the nurse joys or officer jennys!!! :P

yes! I remember Brock! hehe, well, I saw Sanji eyes (also in the manga) of course, he has the two eyes  ;) no doubt.

:o  i think maybe cause left eye sanji have diffrent colour from his right eye . Like Muraki kazutaka from The Darker Descandant.  >_<;

 :-Xyou know i have seen a picture of sanji when he was small , he have perfect eye . so i have the conclusion about sanji left eye .' he want to look handsome so that he want to cover his eye' ;D
