Alright folks you know me, i don't like to announce bad news.

Adachi is taking yet another break, and after this chapter Cross Game will only resume on 1st July. Yeah I know, that means over one month without Cross Game, that sucks highly :/

Now the good news is that the anime is supposed to be 51 episodes so it should cover the whole story.

And here is your last chapter of Cross Game for the time being. Be sure to read it tons of times.

Wait! If I recall, weeks ago someone mentioned something like he already finished working on CG. Though I do still hope excellent ending for CG like Katsu or Niji-Iro Togarashi etc.

And though it's still not clear, Q&A looked quite promising. Just when I thought he is going to retire which CG will be his final work since it's quite a masterpiece, Q&A came out. Adachi sure know how to surprise us. Well, let us wish for his well being.

I was thinking of the same age/health reasoning for this quick break (only 10 weeks of manga following a 6 months break!).  However, since he started a monthly story at the same time it seems to defeat that reasoning, right?  Unless, he is thinking about switching to only work on monthly manga altogether.  I don't think that is true.  He is certainly not so old that he cannot think of stories and let his assistants do most of the works anyway.  Health, of course, can be a potential issue.
As far as I can remember, nobody was saying for certain that he has already finished CG.  It was somebody guessing?

One of the best chapters in ages. Shame about the break, it does very much feel like it's close to ending.
