No, we did not have any part in the creation of any of the manga available on this site. We have simply scanned and translated them to increase their popularity amongst people who do not know Japanese. We have done this without the permission of the original authors, and we will stop if they express any negative attitude towards our conduct.

+ How come you guys only do very few projects?

We don't like taking many projects at once. It's also easier to concentrate on just a few than a lot.

+ Why did you guys stop doing One Piece and Rurouni Kenshin?

Because they're now licensed in North America. And we do this to support the official publisher. Please check ShonenJump website for ordering info.

+ Will you scan and translate [insert manga title here]?

Maybe. With the recent licensing of One Piece and Rurouni Kenshin, suggestions are being taken into consideration. Discuss it in the forum.

+ When will chapter [##] of [insert manga title here] be released?

It's a secret.

+ How come you guys are so slow at releasing things?

Because translating & editing takes longer than hitting the refresh button over and over again ;).

+ What are those watermarks in every page?

The purpose of the watermark is to remind you that this isn't the original manga. Second purpose is to prevent people "stealing" the scans and print and/or sell them on eBay, or other places.

+ The watermarks are annoying, could you pls remove them?

We would like to remind everyone that these watermarks are 70% transparent and only cover ~2% of the artwork (if they cover the artwork at all). And if you don't like them, please just buy the original manga. Original manga always look better, and you can carry/read it anywhere you want...

+ I like [insert manga title here] better than the rest, can you concentrate on this manga more than the others?

As much as we'd like to satisfy you're manga reading desires, no.

+ Can I use your scans so I can edit and translate it to another language?

For our projects: Yes, you may, if you can follow these terms:
- Please ask/tell us first & give us your website url.
- The manga must not be licensed in that language.
- Stop distributing and doing the manga once it gets licensed.
- DO NOT remove the watermarks (if there are any).
- Credit the scanner, translator & editor, and put a link to http://mangadownloads.org
Please note that sometimes we host other group's project, and you should ask the group if you're thinking translate its project.
